Syllabus

The school follows the syllabi of I.C.S.E. and I.S.C. of the Indian Council for Secondary Education, New Delhi. The following are the subjects offered:

  • English Language and Literature
  • Second Language (Hindi / Malayalam)
  • Mathematics
  • General Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)
  • Economic Applications
  • S.U.P.W. (Socially Useful and Productive Work)
  • Community Service is an essential part of the course.

ISC: The Indian School Certificate Course has been designed in accordance with the recommendations of the New Educational Policy 1986. It is a two year Higher Secondary course in the medium of English recommended for students after qualifying in the I.C.S.E. examination or its equivalent. Science and Commerce streams are offered.

Examinations
Examinations

Apart from the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation,there are two Mid-Term Exams, two term Exams, Model exam and Annual Exam. The scores and grades obtained by the students are recorded in the Progress Report Card and intimated to the parent/guardian within the scheduled time as per the school calendar.

Promotion to the next higher class will be based on the Annual Exam and cumulative scores of the pupil during the whole year. The academic performance in Std IX and Std X is considered for admission to the I.S.C. course.

TC
Transfer Certificate

Transfer Certificate will be issued when the parent/guardian of a pupil requests for T.C. in the prescribed form. No school fee will be charged if the pupil has not attended school that year. In case the pupil has attended classes, he/she is liable to pay fees, unless granted exemption by the school authorities.

admission
Admission

Requests for admission should be made in the prescribed form available in the school office/site. Selected pupils should be accompanied by the parent/guardian when he/she comes for admission. Transfer certificate must be produced from the school last attended.

Conditions for eligibility for admission to Std XI
  • a) Candidates who have been awarded a pass certificate in the ICSE examination with a pass in five subjects including English and a second language are eligible to be admitted to the ISC course.
  • b) Candidates who have been awarded a pass certificate in the ICSE examination with a pass in five subjects including English, but without a pass in the second language, may be admitted provisionally to the first year of the course. But they will be required to obtain a pass in the second language of the ICSE examination by the end of the first year. Only then will they be declared eligible for promotion to Std XII. The academic year, comprises three terms from June to March.
